Alexandria, The Movie, was created to celebrate an amazing story of transformation. Alexandria’s life could not be adequately told with words on a page. The movie also intends to illustrate the heart of St. Raymond’s and provide a practical tool that supporters can share with family and friends to help the mission grow. St. Raymond’s is 100% privately funded and 100% of your donation goes directly to the program. Thank you for supporting mothers who choose life!
Who Is Alexandria?
All St. Raymond’s clients have a unique story and in that way Alexandria’s is no different. What made her special was her grit. At first, she resisted the changes St. Raymond’s was asking of her. She needed structure, accountability and most of all love. Love was something that was misused in Alexandria’s life so loving responses and actions felt like nails on a chalkboard to her. Over time, Alexandria let her guard down and began to trust while the team at St. Raymond’s remained consistent. She didn’t give up, and neither did we.
Alexandria’s grit shifted focus to fighting against a return to her old life. She fought and fought by making daily choices to do what was best for her and her children. She had to rebuild everything and that meant everything had to be new – new community, new personal boundaries, and new vision for what was possible.
Her evolution from “problem child” to “poster child” took over a decade and only a year of that was within the St. Raymond’s house. The relationships and support extended beyond her time sharing our address, as it does with most clients. We are honored to share her story with this movie and hope it will bring hope to all who watch.
